Southern Missouri Judicial Services and its investigators are state licensed insured and bonded allowing governmental agencies such as counties, municipalities and professional organizations that certify employees of such to hire SMOJS for an independent investigation.  

At times county commissions, city commissions, aldermen, public administrators, directors, mayors, and organizations such as MoCCFOA, POST, have issues brought to them of public distrust and other employee issues including; criminal acts, corruption, thefts, drug use, and other immoral issues.

Through case law these agencies have found it to be a further conflict of interest to involve another governmental agency to investigate these issues.
